PRAYERS FOR BOBBY

As part of World Pride commemorating the 50th anniversary of the Stonewall Uprising, The Astoria Choir will present Jay Kawarsky's moving work for choir and chamber orchestra, Prayers for Bobby. Based on the critically acclaimed book, this piece tells the true story of a young gay man, Bobby Griffith, and how his mother's heart and mind were transformed in the aftermath of his suicide.
